Welcome to the 'Live Design' website, providing you with a real approach to landscape design.

Designing gardens for the past 11 years or so, I have been privileged to have worked on many unique properties. From small apartment balconies to large country estates. Each one different, some with many challenges, others simple and straightforward. But all at the end of the day are gardens or outdoor spaces that are enjoyed, weeded, maintained, admired and pampered by their owners. Even dressed up sometimes for a special occasion.

I enjoy taking a client's garden wish list and turning it into a reality for them. Until recently, all concept design plans presented to the client were a birds eye view of the proposed landscaping, drawn to scale on paper and coloured for effect. On approval the final landscape plans were completed ready for the contractors to work from.

Though more often than not, it seemed quite obvious that when clients' looked at a landscape plan at whichever stage of the design process, a rendered expression of perplexity emerged. They were aware of the aspects of the proposed garden, new plantings, new paving, a pool and so on but, found it difficult to imagine the finished landscaping in real life. Hence the development of 'Live Design'.

As a landscape designer it is my undertaking to interpret the client’s wishes, whilst considering the site aspects, to transform the 'space' into one where their first reaction is 'that's exactly what I want'.
